Launching the Rebrand
Step 1: Build the new logo.
We carefully developed a set of shapes, angles and spacing to form the new logo type. We then hinted to our followers that something new was coming by spelling Richmond's area code with this toolkit.
Step 2: Reveal its simple brilliance, slowly.
We unveiled each new letter (and ligature) with daily social media posts. Tiny grey art directors get to work using the toolset of shapes provided above.
Step 3: Remove the scaffolding!
This calls for dynamite.
Celebrating the Launch
Our rebrand was about much more than some new design work. Our agency was also taking a big step into the marketing world and we needed to let everyone know. Over a beer.
Mmm… a soft, new think tee.

The series was dumped like fuel across the political bonfire we know as social media. It worked.
Standard Logo & Brand Guidelines
The New Website
It took a few weeks of collaboration with the Watkins staff to map out the new website. We had two different customer bases–wholesale and retail clients–and we needed to make shopping easy for both segments. Not to mention the integration of existing systems.
Apparel
We started with some soft, eco-friendly tees and eventually ordered hoodies as well. Comfort is key.
The Site map
A good website doesn't just look cool—it works well. That starts with streamlined navigation and strategic content placement.
Research & Infographics
Imagery & Messaging
We created a set of homepage slider graphics to highlight some key strengths.
Website Development
Once the creative work was complete, we worked with 28 Media to build a custom Wordpress website and content management system.
